Original Monologue Taping Class: How to portray a character from history.
This character study class is unique because actors are often cast as real people from history or popular culture. Recent examples include Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle in American Sniper or Daniel Day Lewis as Abraham Lincoln in Lincoln. Each student will choose a character from history to portray and will have the help of the teacher to co-write an original monologue that shows the character at the same age as the student. The taping will include a performance in the appropriate costume for that character.
Tuition for this EIGHT-WEEK COURSE includes preparation of an original monologue and video link for each student in a professional TV studio. Classes are limited to the first 10 students who register.
There will be a one-week Spring Break BEFORE Easter Sunday. No classes held on Wed April 12 & Sat April 15!
All students will record their original characters in costume on Wednesday, May 17.
