Leland Hao
Leland Hao is a 2019 Teen Student. He sings tenor with the Langley High School Madrigals and Voicemales, dances hip hop and jazz as well as basic tap and ballet, dabbles in acoustic guitar and, as an experienced fencer, is comfortable with a saber and combat choreography. He was born in Maryland and is prototypically American but able to speak tonally correct Mandarin Chinese. Active with Fairfax County’s Acting For Young People and Langley High School’s Saxon Stage, his favorite past roles include Jojo in Seussical, Mushu in Mulan, Cosmo Brown in Singin’ in the Rain, and Pepper in Mamma Mia!. He was also a member of the select, Our Time Cabaret at StageDoor Manor in upstate New York.
